The Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA)-Helena Foundation Fund has welcomed three new members to its board.
As a subsidiary of the University of Arkansas (UA) Foundation, Inc., the PCCUA-Helena Foundation Fund continues to secure philanthropic support for the college. The UA Foundation is a nonprofit organization established under Arkansas state law to manage and invest private funds for the benefit of the University of Arkansas System's campuses, divisions, and units. With a strong commitment to education and community enrichment, the Foundation plays a vital role in supporting PCCUA’s mission.
Joseph Whitfield, married to Shadey Whitfield, is the director of the Phillips County Chamber of Commerce and Delta Magic. He earned his master’s degree from Relay Graduate School of Education, where he also served as class president for the Student Government Association. Dedicated to community service, Whitfield is an active member of the Helena Rotary Club.
Kayln Etoch Griffin, married to Tyler Griffin, is an attorney who graduated from the University of Arkansas Bowen Law School in Little Rock. She is a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and is professionally affiliated with the Arkansas Bar Association. Griffin also plays a key role in the community as the administrator of the Anthony Etoch Scholarship Foundation, helping support educational opportunities for students.
Karen Schwantz, married to Hershell Schwantz, serves as an Academic Dean and teacher at Desoto School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Mississippi, where she graduated magna cum laude. She is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
PCCUA extends its gratitude and congratulations to Joseph, Kayln, and Karen for joining the Foundation Fund. Their expertise and commitment to education and community service will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of PCCUA and its students.
