Wesley Barringer and Armontez Harrison, both of West Helena, are the recipients of the Helen G. Bonner Sophomore Scholarship Fund, established by Mr. Ben Bonner in memory of Mrs. Helen G. Bonner. Wesley Barringer is currently pursuing a degree in general education on the Helena campus, while Armontez Harrison is working toward a degree in business.
This scholarship provides two full-time and four partial scholarships to sophomore students who have completed 21 or more hours at PCCUA with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. Preference will be given to working, adult students who are not eligible for sufficient levels of other financial assistance to meet educational needs. Full scholarships pay $550 fall and spring and $250 for summer. Partial scholarships pay $275 fall and spring.
