Students graduating in spring 2024 from Gear Up high schools may enroll in the Gear Up Summer Bridge Program. The progam is free and allows an opportunity for students to earn 6 credits toward college at no cost to the student. It is also a great time to take reading and writing. The program participants will have lots of travel and enrichment opportunities and start the fall year prepared for college. Fall 2024 DeWitt Information

Getting Creative with Canva: Join Kalli Smith for a tutorial on how ot use the free version of the graphics tool, Canva, which is perfect for home use or a small business/side hustle. You can make: flyers, holiday cards, business cards, social medial advertising posts and more. You will have the opportunity to pracitce several items, then create and print your favorite project. Enjoy the light snacks as Kalli also shows you the features of the paid version. The class is Tuesday, September 24, from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, and cost is $15. 

Girls Night Out: Pumpkin Painting

Grab your BFF and join us for a relaxing evening of fall snacks and beverages while you and your friends tackle several pumpkin painting crafts. No artistic skills needed! All supplies provided. This will be Thursday, October, 10, from 6-8 pm and the cost is $25.

Fall 2024 Helena Information

Pre-registration for the 2024 fall semester begins April 3. Fees are due at registration. For more information, call Wandra Williams at (870) 816-1210 or (870)739-0308 between the hours of 8:00 am-4:30 pm. You may also email wwilliams@pccua.edu. Limited enrollment, filled on first-come basis.

I Want to Teach a Class...  If you have an idea for a Community Service class or would like to teach new offerings, please contact Wandra Williams or email her at wwilliams@pccua.edu. We are excited to hear your ideas!

Refund Policy... To withdraw from a Community Education noncredit course, you must call the office no later than the day before the class begins to receive 100% refund.

Fitness Center (non-credit): Join our Fitness Center, and let us help you become a healthier person. The fitness center is open on Mon.- Fri., from 6:30-11:30 am, 1:00- 7:00 pm Mon.-Thurs. Semester fee is $55; full-time students $25; and seniors (60 and older) $25. Senior registration covers enrollment until August 2025.


Martial Arts (credit or non-credit): Tae kwon do meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 9 - November 14.  Non-credit (ages 6-14) will meet from 5:30-6:30 pm, and the adult class meets from 6:30-7:30 pm. Children ages 6-14 ($55); adults ages 15 and up ($75). Credit class is 6:30-7:30 pm at a cost of one credit hour. Instructor is Lionel Moss.

Dance for Children: Classes for fall start the week of August 19. Ballet, Tap, Jazz and private lessons are available to students. Students are encouraged to register before the end of July to enable placement. Preschool (3-5 years) $90; Elementary (6-11 years) $100; Junior and Senior (12-18) $120, and Hip-Hop $65. Limited slots for Trio $120; Duets $140, and Solo $180. Priority will be given to older students. Instructors to be determined.  

CPR for the Health Care Provider: The class will meet for one Friday morning from 9 am - 2 pm on one of the following dates: September 6, 13, 20, or 27. The cost is $60.00 and is limited to 10 students. Nursing students may register with their advisors. Instructor is Jessica Hindsley.

Truck or Treat: Bring the kids and have fun with different activities such as face painting, games, free food, and free candy. The class will be in the Grand Prairie Center on Saturday, October 26. The class is free. 


Family Photos: Delight in the chance to gather the family up and make a lasting memory with Family Photos. These precious memories will last a lifetime and offer a wonderful reflection of the past as time goes on. The class will be Saturday, November 9, and the cost will depend on the photographer. 


Fall Painting Door Hangers: Come join us and learn how to paint door hangers. The class will include a wooden cut out and the paint for each person. This class is Saturday, September 7, and the cost is $25 per person.
